Activities Organiser – Part-time

We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our Activities and Wellbeing team. This role is perfect for someone who is imaginative, patient as well as outgoing with a sense of humour. Able to motivate others, with great time management and organisational skills, alongside enjoying teamwork.

19.5 hours a week, to be worked over Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am to 5pm with a half hour lunch break.  Occasionally you may be required to work extra hours to cover sickness absence and annual leave for other members of the team, so some flexibility is required.

 

Purpose of Position

  • The key responsibility is to help organise and deliver a programme of varied activities to our lovely residents and support them to take part.
 

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team you will ensure the activities run smoothly and that the residents and their families feel involved.
  • Talking with people about the types of activities they’d like to do.
  • Researching and organising activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of our residents.
  • Booking external suppliers to provide entertainment.
  • Assisting people to take part in activities, which may also include involving residents’ family members and/or the local community as appropriate.
  • Spending time with residents who do not attend the daily activities.
  • You will also help with trips and outings, in the local community considering transport arrangements and accessibility.

Due to our rural location access to a vehicle is useful, as public transport to the house is limited. We do offer free onsite parking.
