Work in the gardens this week was interrupted by the relentless rain which saw us, once again, unable to get on with a great deal in the garden due to the waterlogged ground. We did however finish removing the broken raised beds and levelled the ground in addition to potting plants on ready for replanting or sale.
One border which had been home to several old roses which had been awaiting a permanent home, has been made into a new artichoke bed, the roses having been moved to their new location. A lot of the plants potted up in previous years have now found homes in various the borders. The old chrysanthemum flower stalks, that have been a great success as cut flowers, in the poly tunnels were cut down ready for the flush of new growth to get a head start for this years crop.
