Luckily the sweltering temperatures of the past few days dropped just in time for the annual Strawberry Tea, held in the Rose Garden. The home-grown strawberries, picked and prepared by members of the Halow Group who joined us for tea, appeared in various guises: traditional strawberries and cream; Victoria sandwich; mini scones with strawberries, jam and cream; and they even floated in the Pimms and homemade elderflower cordial. A wonderful time was had by all. Many thanks to everyone who helped make this such a happy occasion.
