It was a pretty busy week in the garden getting everything prepared for the Rare Plant Fair on Sunday which was a great success, despite the dismal weather. Lots of edging and mowing, trying to get on top of things early before the spring growth really takes off.
We have been cleaning and oiling all the benches so apologies if your favourite bench has been missing, rest assured it will be back out as soon as possible. In the vegetable garden, Oak Leaf have been helping us mulch the last of the beds and dig planting holes for the squash to go in, once big enough. We also planted up another three rows of asparagus.
Most of the tender perennials have now been cut back ready for the new growth to come through and all the fruit trees have had their first feed of Growmore to give them a good kick start..
