Several warm sunny days have made life in the garden more pleasurable this week!
Despite some areas of lawn still having standing water others have benefitted from another early cut and edge and we even managed to get the main lawn mown. The pruning of the wisteria around the house has been finished and one side of the herbaceous border and the rockery have been cut down, although it is still too wet to mulch. We have planted several more fruit trees in the grass beyond the fruit cages and also a row of Apricots which will be fan trained along the west side of the fence between the vegetable garden and the fruit cages.
With Halloween celebrations growing each year in the UK, our Birtley House activities team decided to really embrace it this year and make the most of our own home grown pumpkins.
Having made the decision that additional care is required and that a nursing home is the right solution, finding the right one can be a daunting process. To help ease this, Birtley House nursing home guildford have devised a check list of the initial, most important considerations for any individual or family.
