On Sunday 22nd May, Music Kids came to entertain everyone with a variety of songs performed in the gardens. A number of Residents came out to listen in the sunshine.
On Tuesday 10th May, Carol from Surprising Lines ran a workshop in the woods, teaching monoprinting, which is a simple technique using water-based ink that involves rolling ink onto a smooth surface, placing paper on top and making marks on the back, producing unpredictable results...
The Guildford and Godalming GAMBIT groups of blind and partially sighed came to Birtley on a glorious sunny morning to view this year's sculpture exhibition.
The annual Sculpture Garden is open once again within the beautiful grounds of Birtley House. Open daily from 30th April - 5th June, from 11am - 5pm. Entrance is £5 per adult ticket (includes a programme and unlimited entry for the duration of the exhibition). Children are free of charge & there is free parking.

Birtley Resident, Mrs June Sabel, was one of a select few invited to join the Mayor of Waverley, Cllr Mike Band, for a celebration tea marking the Queen's 90th birthday.
