Lead Care Assistant, Cheryl Searle, has a large selection of Christmas hats that she has been wearing in the run-up to Christmas. All are colourful, some have flashing lights and many move and/or play tunes - much to the enjoyment of our residents.
Not to be outdone, Care Assistant Arron Mills invested in a Christmas Tree hat - complete with a star on top, which he has worn on several occasions. Yesterday, as part of the Birtley Choir, both Cheryl and Arron wore special Christmas tops - Arron had a Santa outfit T-shirt, while Cheryl's Christmas Tree jumper, complete with its flashing lights, stole the show!
With Halloween celebrations growing each year in the UK, our Birtley House activities team decided to really embrace it this year and make the most of our own home grown pumpkins.
