A fun afternoon of movie nostalgia for our Residents was masterminded by our Wellbeing Mentor. Four staff were dressed as Uniformed Ushers complete with torches to show Residents to their seats to watch the afternoon matinee: the 1935 classic 'Top Hat' starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Some 20 Residents enjoyed the film show, complete with tubs of ice-cream in the interval. Following the film, ice-creams were handed out to any Residents who were unable to come to the film show, but who fancied a tasty individual ice-cream.
An afternoon spent getting to know each other

Having made the decision that additional care is required and that a nursing home is the right solution, finding the right one can be a daunting process. To help ease this, Birtley House nursing home guildford have devised a check list of the initial, most important considerations for any individual or family.
