Many of our Residents enjoyed a happy hour and more doing some retail therapy when Belinda Cramp, a local jewellery maker, brought a vast selection of her creations to Birtley House this afternoon. Several Residents bought lovely items either for themselves or for members of their families, and a number of staff also treated themselves to something. This was Belinda’s third visit to Birtley, and we now have a date in the diary for November, with Christmas in mind! Everyone agreed it was such a happy relaxed way of going shopping!
(There's a forfeit for the first mention of Christmas this year I'm afraid Caroline! Ed.).
An afternoon spent getting to know each other
With Halloween celebrations growing each year in the UK, our Birtley House activities team decided to really embrace it this year and make the most of our own home grown pumpkins.
Having made the decision that additional care is required and that a nursing home is the right solution, finding the right one can be a daunting process. To help ease this, Birtley House nursing home guildford have devised a check list of the initial, most important considerations for any individual or family.
