Accreditations...
Every other year we apply for various awards and have both won and been shortlisted for several in multiple categories. Our previous achievements relate to Care and Business in general and we’re proud that they have included awards for ‘Care team of the Year’, and ‘Outstanding contribution to Adult Social Care’.
Covid-19 meant that we couldn't partake in any wider awards in 2020. We are pleased that we are now able to be considered for awards again.
Our most recent achievements in 2022 included being shortlisted in the national Caring UK awards for Best Care Home – South and winning Best Outdoor Environment award. Birtley House were also finalists for five awards at the Surrey Care Association Awards.
This added to the Issued to local charity ‘halow project’ who help to manage the kitchen garden for us.
As a business you can’t achieve any of these without evidencing claims and collecting various supporting statements from internal and external sources. In our case, many are built on the experiences of our Residents and their family members, so they’re a great reflection of the impact we have on someone’s life.
Award-Winning Care
As a Nursing Home we have previously won awards which include ‘Care team of the year’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution to Social Care. Our most recent awards in 2019 included:
- ‘Demonstrating Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)’, - Surrey Business Awards
- ‘Long-service Contribution to Social Care’, & ‘Ancillary worker of the Year’ with the Surrey Care Association (SCA)
- ‘Best Kitchen Garden’ and ‘Best Wildlife Garden’.
