Surrey Hills Wood Fair
We were delighted to host the second Surrey Hills Wood Fair which was held in the Parkland on 8th and 9th October. The fair celebrated Surrey's number one natural resource - wood - and the fair featured everything from biodiversity to woodcraft and sculpture. Two magnificent Suffolk Punch heavy horses took families on cart rides through the fair while another Suffolk Punch demonstrated how horses are brilliant at extracting timber from woodland with difficult access. The fair offered a wonderful day out for families and was also much enjoyed by several of our residents.
Special thanks go to Birtley Mews resident, Mrs Coe, who sold her attractive homemade cards in aid of the Community Foundation for Surrey, raising £77.46.
